I can't wait. I'm glancing at every clock in my proximity, counting the time left like a child counting days before Christmas. No, I'm not going to have a hot date. I'm just waiting until I get internet to my home.

It's not like I had to wait for long. I didn't even have to go anywhere and fill out some forms with bizarre questions. I'm just impatient. Internet, my connection tothe world, to the people. A necessity for us, information junkies.

I know some people frown upon it and say we should stop surfing the net and get our asses moving. They can whenever they want. Not me. Whether we like it or not, internet is an everyday reality and a necessity for some people. The global network has changed the society just like WC, railways, cars, airplanes and TV had before.

I can do without TV but I really can't see myself without the internet. I use it mainly for e-mails and other practical things - but besides that, I use it for sniffing around. Something triggers my curiosity and before I know it I'm surfing on the web, looking for some additional information.

I know it's nothing like some in-depth study. But it's still better than not caring at all. I've been very close to apathy and hopefully I will never get there again.

So help me internet.
